Technical and quality accreditations are very important to us here at E.E. & Brian Smith. E.E. & Brian Smith ensures that the majority of the suppliers we source from are GFSI equivalent certified, and our key suppliers are regularly audited by our Technical Team. E.E. & Brian Smith’s accreditations include:
BRCGS Agent and Broker
The Agent and Broker Certification is for us to buy, sell and facilitate the trading of products. It ensures a link is provided between the movement and trade of products. It means we are responsible for the entire supply chain and can ensure traceability of each product that we import or supply into the UK.
The Agent and Broker Certification gives us a framework to work off with our suppliers to ensure safe, high quality, authentic and legal products are distributed.
The BRCGS Certification is recognised by all major retailers, food service and manufacturing customers internationally.

Soil Association Organic Standard
Some of our customers want to buy Organic products. For us to be able to trade Organic products we need to be certified by an accreditation body. The Soil Association is our accreditation body and the Soil Association Certification Organic Standards cover the UK’s Organic Regulations.
We have the Organic Processor and Organic Wholesaler accreditations which means we can import Organic products, store them and distribute to our customers when they need their order.
We have to ensure that if you want to start supplying a new organic product it is added to the Organic trading schedule.

Sedex Members
E.E. & Brian Smith are also A/B members of Sedex. Sedex is a platform that is used globally and helps suppliers share ethical, social and environmental data across different customers and platforms.
It means that information can be stored on Sedex and doesn’t have to be repeated on different customer’s questionnaires or forms.
British Fruit Juice Association
The British Fruit Juice Association (BFJA) is a long-established trade organisation that has been representing the UK Juice Industry since 1941. It has over 60 members and works with the entire juice industry from startups to large scale operations.
The British Fruit Juice Association works closely with the European Fruit Juice Association (AIJN) and the British Soft Drinks Association (BSDA) especially regarding changes to Government Policy, Legislation, Sustainability and Health trends.
E.E. & Brian Smith have served as members of the BFJA Committee for many years and find their work vital for the UK juice industry.
