Organic certification is about more than just the end product. It encourages farming practices that work with nature, with a focus on soil health, biodiversity and reducing the use of synthetic pesticides and fertilisers.
Of course, organic production comes with its own challenges, but as the food industry continues to look at how we can build more sustainable and resilient supply chains, it has an important role to play.
